To create sustainable change, we must unlearn, what we have learned. We have spent many years, developing a personality and learning, we’ve been conditioned to fit in. Our upbringing and experiences, can sometimes mould us into a person, we ourselves, do not like, or love. We suffer with anger, insecurities, anxiety, depression, and are generally highly stressed. We become stuck, eventually our methods of coping no longer work, and now we have no idea what to do. Taking the time to be alone with ourselves, and our thoughts, stepping away from the personality and normality of life, offers us the opportunity to heal. To ‘go deep’ and find out who we really are, to accept, like and love ourselves, for nothing more than that. Using exercise, or any other activity as a distraction, only leads to us feeling better, temporarily. Allowing the process, to simply happen, instead of trying to make it happen, or stopping it because we are fearful of the result. I’ve personally found, can have profound affects.
