You’re Stressed Out, Anxious, Frustrated,
Comparing Yourself to Others,
Can’t Switch Off or Sleep.

This is me sitting in my office in my early thirties, burning out, my life collapsing.
With a business, career, or relationship
you feel unable to walk away from…
…or rectify the issues in.
Living a lifestyle that’s allowing you to keep it
together, while also causing harm.
Alcohol – Drugs – Driving – Earning – Exercise Sex – Shopping – Social Media – Sugar – Work.
Consumption to find balance and peace.
You are more than likely living in sympathetic dominance,
or functional freeze, which are nervous system states.
Able to perform at a very high level, being driven by adrenaline and cortisol,
the hormones of stress, which are needed to “Get things done”, but harmful (catabolic)
when your system is being flooded by them almost constantly.
Living in this state means that your thoughts are being driven by it, by your body.
While at the same time, in my experience, by an analytical mind that cannot switch off.
To you, someone who is used to creating outcomes from this state of being,
change without a self-driven process seems ridiculous – you must be in control.

This is me at 52, healthy, loving and living life with purpose, able to flow naturally.
Control – Force – Grind and Hustle
is all you know; your system normalised this years ago.
Changing the way you approach life, utilising the tools you have right now,
allows you to recondition your system to feel safe enough to let go of its need to control.
Who would you be without the things that make you who you are?
I believed I would be nobody without the things I owned and did, the environments I spent my time in,
most importantly for me, my business; I couldn’t see past it.
Who I would be without the title, and the resources it gave me to be my identity.
An identity that for years had helped me survive, but had also been destroying me, and my enjoyment of life.
To the SYSTEM not simply “EGO” of high achievers, this is terrifying.
I’m not ME … I’ve STOPPED!
YOU of COURSE ARE NONE of THESE THINGS.
To find what you are looking for in life, balance,
calmness, peace, purpose, aliveness, fulfillment,
a sharper edge, better health, relationships,
and heightened levels of awareness.
Wouldn’t it make sense, it’s your identity that
must be the starting point,
in the process of creating a new experience.
I was discussing this with a friend on Saturday
he changed his life 15 years ago, me, 12.
The uniqueness of us, our experience of life,
what we are prepared to accept, our beliefs.
How there must obviously be a process,
and how it must accommodate the person
creating their new identity and life.
His approach was very different to mine;
mine started from the inside-out.
What he accepts, I don’t, for scientifically
supported reasons, the great part, no
arguments about who’s right or wrong.

A good friend I used to spend a great deal of time with, you don’t lose anyone.
He was running, I was riding up a dirt track,
we created tangible, sustainable results,
by being adaptable and flexible, intentional,
with compassion for ourselves.
We don’t deny our past, nor do we relive it;
we are now able to
reflect, smile, laugh about the whole of it.
Who do You Want to Become?
How do You Want to Feel?
Would you like a flexible co-driver
who’s lived what he’s discussing?
