Sitting in My Seat in My Local Bar/Pub, Smiling Externally, Collapsing Internally.
Many years ago, I was talking business with a friend I’ve known for decades.
He’s a partner in his own successful business.
I was discussing my vision, what I wanted to do with the business, in business
because my business was pretty much at the top of my list of priorities.
How Are You Going to Do That
The Amount of Alcohol You Are Drinking.
It’s Interesting if You Think about it.
Others Give Themselves Permission to be stressed,
anxious, insecure, frustrated, and judge you for not living up to their idea
of what or who you should be.
They will be using mechanisms to deal with their own stress, anxiety, frustration, anger, and insomnia.
The difficult or failing relationships in their own lives, and how they feel about themselves.
What they won’t tell you, or possibly understand, is that they are using them to find balance, themselves.
You learned how to regulate your system when you were young; we all do.
The issue arises when the mechanisms you chose, which were external, become destructive or unavailable
Your model of the world is different from theirs.
So is your personality, which isn’t one big trauma response as many suggest.
Like your system in general, your personality is adaptable;
it’ll move from healthy to average to unhealthy,
based on the levels of stress you are living under.
This is called integration and disintegration.
We aren’t discussing a character failing here – it’s a physiological process.
Chronic stress, sustained cortisol and adrenaline, dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system,
these don’t just affect mood or behaviour.
They affect the coherence of the whole personality system.
Integration requires a nervous system that feels safe enough to function as a whole.
Your Personality is your interface to the external environment,
and your experiences have an impact on the level of integration.
You can be who you need to be in any given moment,
while at the same time staying true to who you say you are on the level of your identity.
This goes beyond the usual introverted-extroverted, thinking-feeling, sensing model.
The biggest issue here – you don’t understand it.
You can’t Blame Anyone for believing
what they see, what you are presenting them with, consciously or unconsciously.
It’s easier to accept what “Everyone Else” accepts …
As they often ignore their own Issues & use you to feel better about themselves.
Particularly when focusing on the SYMPTOM(s)
as being the PROBLEM is still so Widely Discussed
Overcoming the pecking order of “addictions” would
be helpful here, and I’m using the word to create context.
Labels are worthless, and as I’ve written in another post, we as high achievers don’t accept
disempowering words being thrown at us by society.
This is why I use the word – mechanisms, it’s more accurate.
There are no “GOOD & BAD” mechanisms.
Accepting then Rejecting these Disempowering Words is the sovereign approach.
Anything you do that you have an unhealthy relationship with doesn’t end well.
You Must Learn to look at the bigger picture – your why?
When you understand – everyone else – has Issues
that they aren’t sharing with you.
Maybe you will stop feeling weakness, unworthy, and judging yourself?
Whatever issues you are facing in your life, there’s only one way to resolve them.
Create a new identity, become someone who lives a life free from anything you don’t want.
Your MIndset has gotten you to where you are right now.
If you aren’t happy, you must accept that being open to new information would be a huge benefit.
Regulation and integration of your emotional state, to grow physically and spiritually.
Address your physical self appropriately, and move out of the BY ME, controlling, and forcing things to happen, state.
Doing this means there’ll be no ongoing need for practices, systems, techniques, or mechanisms
so that you feel safe in your body.
This is how you live on your terms, with awareness, consciously, balanced, calm, peaceful, alive,
with purpose, productivity, and fulfillment, without losing your edge.
